MFD cancels annual dance due to COVID-19

Letter to the Editor

To the Editor,

     The Monticello Fire Department will not be having our annual dance this year. The event is cancelled due to the increased number of COVID-19 cases in the community and the surrounding area.

     We are very grateful for our community support and appreciate all of the donations we have received so far. This is our largest annual fundraiser.

     We were really looking forward to hosting the event and discussing if we will be hosting a dance in spring.

     Again, thank you to everyone for your positive thoughts and monetary contributions. This is the best community!
