MHS hosts district speech, earns 12 “I” ratings

     Monticello achieved 12 Division I ratings out of a possible 16 at the District Large-group Speech Contest, hosted by Monticello High School Saturday, Jan. 21.

     MHS also earned “I” ratings in eight categories at the River Valley Conference Large Group Speech Contest Saturday, Jan. 14 at West Liberty.

     Earning “I” ratings at districts:

     Ensemble Acting – “Pamper Island,” Rileigh Lambert, Anna Loes and Taylor McDonald.

     Ensemble Acting – “So Long, Kitty,” Hannah Gray, Jordyn Patterson and Cleo Sullivan.

     Ensemble Acting – “Driver’s Test,” Elle Boeding and Kate Isaac.

     Group Improv – Wes Henderson, Tyler Hospodarsky and Andy Tjaden.

     Freshman Group Improv – Jeff Carlson and Payton Jaeger.

     Choral Reading – “We Are the Change,” Sophie Ahlrichs, Abbey Beem, Elle Boeding, Clara Finger, Chloe Gray, Sophie Gray, Ashley Jenkins, Marissa McNally, Kenna Melchert, Natalie Newhard, Skyler Postel, Nicole Stark, Presley Tapken and Kiley Wall.
