Midland blood drive, June 28

     The Midland P.A.T.S. (Parents and Teachers for Students) will host a “Save Our Summer” blood drive from 3-6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28 at Memorial Hall, 130 W. Main St., Wyoming. All donors presenting at this drive will be entered into a drawing for a $2,500 vacation package. Visit www.bloodcenter.org/win for details. This drive also helps the Midland P.A.T.S. to earn a monetary grant through the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center’s Life$avings program; this grant helps benefit the students of Midland School District.

     Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with a parental permission form available through www.bloodcenter.org) and weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo ID is required to donate. For questions about eligibility, call the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center at 800-747-5401. Donors who last gave blood on or before May 3, 2017, are eligible to give at this drive.

     Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors.
