Mobile food pantry

Numerous volunteers and Friends of the Library members helped set up the HACAP Mobile Food Pantry on Friday, March 31. The mobile unit was stationed inside the Monticello Public Library parking lot. Roughly 30 people visited the mobile unit within the hour timeframe. This was a partnership between HACAP and the library to provide residents with an alternative location to pick up perishable food items in town. The HACAP Food Reservoir also supplies goods for the Monticello Food Pantry. The mobile unit included breads, pastries, fresh produce, eggs, juices and more. The plan is to have the mobile unit will be back in Monticello once a month. (Photos by Kim Brooks)
