Monk wins $30,000 in lottery prize

A Jones County woman has won a $30,000 lottery prize. 

Lisa Monk of Monticello won the second top prize in the Iowa Lottery’s “Sir Cash-A-Lot” scratch game. She purchased her winning ticket at Karde’s Convenience Store, 202 N. Cedar St. in Monticello, and claimed her prize on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids. 

Sir Cash-A-Lot is a $3 scratch game that features eight top prizes of $30,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.11.
