Monti Cubs plan nine-pin bowling tournament

     The Monticello Cubs semi-pro baseball team will host a nine-pin bowling tournament, starting at noon Saturday, March 28 at Legacy Lanes.

     Five-person teams will compete in a three-games sweep format (team with the highest score wins). Payouts will go to the top three teams. Food and beverage will be provided by Legacy Lanes.

     Entry fee is $125 per team or $25 per person. Proceeds will help cover expenses for the 2020 Monticello Cubs baseball season.

     Register in advance or text Tanner Felton, 319-480-8550; Garrett Hanken, 319-480-3876; or call Legacy Lanes at 319-465-5077. Registration will be accepted the day of the event, limited to 10 teams. If more teams are interested, there will be a 3 p.m. session added.
