Monti is fourth in Senior EIGA

     Monticello totaled 789 to finish fourth in the Senior Eastern Iowa Golf Association Tournament Saturday, Aug. 26 at Tipton Country Club.

     Solon won the team title with a score of 762, followed by Dyersville with 766, Tipton with 789, and Monticello with 793. From fifth place on down were Anamosa 801, Wahkonsa 811, Mount Vernon 811, West Liberty 820, and Bellevue with an incomplete score.

     Kevin Goedken led Monticello with a 74, six strokes behind medalist Tom Olberding of Dyersville. Del Miller of West Liberty was second overall with a 70.

     After Goedken, Monticello scores included Diz Edwards 76, Phil McDonald 77, Curt Tauke 79, Kevin Bergman 80, Andy Manternach 80, Steve McDonald 81, Todd Barkema 81, Lonnie Chapman 83, Tom Luensman 84, Tom Fah 85, and Bruce Johnson 88.
