Monticello Farmers Market

Happy Back to School Week! From Pre-K to college senior, work hard and have fun! Grandparents, you are on call as the extra taxi and drive thru restaurant. And parents, good luck with the transition; whether you walk hand in hand to the Pre-K classroom or watch your youngest drive away to another year at college.

With all of the busy of school starting, don’t forget to stop at the market for after school snacks. Our bakers have cookies, bars, and pies. There are cucumbers, summer squash, baby tomatoes, green beans and peppers that make good dippers for hummus. Don’t forget the college kids! Make a chips and salsa care package to send back with them. Be sure to make a big batch. Roommates and friends need some too!

This Saturday there will be a demonstration, “All About Basil” starting at 9:30 a.m.

The Monticello Farmers Market is held rain or shine.  The Wednesday market runs from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and the Saturday market is from 8 to 11 a.m. at Willow Shelter, next to Pizza Ranch.
