Monticello Federated Garden Club news

     The Monticello Federated Garden Club met Nov. 17, 2016 at the Presbyterian Church. Ruth Zirkelbach gave a reading about suet for birds and how to attract them. Donna Helgens brought an arrangement of 3 kinds of evergreens, red berries and pinecones.

     Sharon Kell brought interesting things to show a buckeye, hickory nut, long bean, numerous pods and a praying mantis. Dori Husmann brought walnuts.

     Plans are being made for plants for next year’s plantings at Fountain Garden and boxes at community building.

     Next meeting will be Dec. 15, 1:30 at Maplewood. We will have a gift exchange with our secret pals and package gifts we bring for Four Oaks girls.
