Monticello to hos Live Healthy Iowa track meet

     Dean Nelson Field in Monticello will host a local qualifying meet for the Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championships Monday, May 14, at 5 p.m.

     The event is for boys and girls ages 7-14. Events for boys and girls in the ages 7-8 and 9-10 divisions include the 50-meter dash, 100, 200, 4x100 relay, standing long jump, and softball throw.

     Events for boys and girls in the ages 11-12 and 13-14 divisions include the 100-meter dash, 200, 400, 800, 1,600, 4x100 relay, standing long jump, and softball throw.

     First place winners in each event and age groups at every local meet qualify for the championship meet in Marshalltown.
