Monticello library expands hours

Beginning Monday, Oct. 19, the Monticello Public Library hours will be changing:

     • Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

     • Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

     • Saturday, 9 to 11 a.m.

The doors to the library will be unlocked, but there is a limit of 15 people (excluding staff) in the building at one time. Facemasks are strongly encouraged.

There is limited seating available for computer use or reading magazines and newspapers. The library staff asks that you keep your visit to no more than 45 minutes. If you need more time, please speak with a staff member.

Curbside pickup is still available, and you can reserve items by calling 319-465-3354, texting 319-820-2859, using the live chat feature on the library’s website (www.monticello.lib.ia.us), or reserving items in the online catalog (monticello.biblionix.com).

The library is offering take-and-make activity bags for all ages; teen and adult activities require registration. New bags will be available the first and third weeks of the month, a different activity each time. Kids bags will be in the lobby; teen and adult bags at the checkout desk inside the library.
