Monticello library offers ‘Battle of the Books’

The Monticello Public Library invites middle school and high school students to take part in “Battle of the Books.”

This is a book-based quiz competition. Youth will read incredible stories together and then experience heart-pounding moments in competition.

You can sign up at the Public Library, or at the middle school or high school libraries. Each battle team will be made up of four or five students. The students will work together and strategize and read each of the books on their reading list.

On Wednesday, March 14, the Monticello library will hold a quiz-a-thon (one for the middle school youth and one for the high school students) and the team that knows their books the best will win.

Stop in the Monticello library to pick up a list of books that have been selected for the battle. There are separate lists for the middle school students and high school students.

For more information, contact MaDonna Kremer at the Monticello library at 319-465-3354 or Kim Carlson with the school libraries at 319-465-3000 ext. 1328.
