Monticello Lions appreciates you

To the Editor,

   The Monticello Lions express their thanks to the Monticello community in supporting the Red Cross Blood Drive, which was held on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

   It was an enjoyable day helping the Red Cross and seeing so many people willing to donate blood. The Lions also thank a few potential donors who were unable to donate at this time.

   The Red Cross stats say it all:

   • Goal – 70 units

   • Presenting donors – 67

   • Whole blood collected – 47

   • Power Reds collected – 21 (This is great!)

   • First-time donors – 6 (This is also great!)

   • Total units donated – 68

   • Potential lives impacted – 152

   The Monticello Lions would also like to thank the Monticello Express, Monticello Rotary Club, Monticello Fareway store, and the local churches and businesses who helped spread the word of the blood drive.
