Monticello man seriously injured in motorcycle accident

     Greg Joslin, 57, of Monticello was airlifted from the scene of a single-vehicle motorcycle accident shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23.

   The accident took place in Linn County at the intersection of Sawyer Road and Prairieburg Road, south of Prairieburg. According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Joslin was traveling eastbound on Sawyer Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the T-intersection. His motorcycle left the roadway and came to rest in the east ditch.

   Joslin sustained serious injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital via LifeGuard Air Ambulance.

   Assisting at the scene were the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Linn County Rescue, Prairieburg Fire Department, Coggon Fire Department, and Anamosa Ambulance.

   The accident remains under investigation.
