More entries earn State Fair awards

     More Jones County area participants earned awards during the recent Iowa State Fair.

     The latest released results follow.

Quarter Horse Show

Aug. 10

(double-judged show)

     Brian McQuillen, Cascade, first and fifth in AQHA Novice Amateur Western Pleasure, first and second in AQHA Select Western Pleasure.

Poland China Swine Show

Aug. 15

     Kaufman Farms, Anamosa, Champion in Boars, sixth in Gilts.

Duroc Swine Show

Aug. 16

     Toenjes Show Pigs, Center Junction, Reserve Champion and sixth in Boars, seventh in Gilts.
