More winners from State Fair

     Several additional Jones County exhibitors and competitors were among the award-winners in a variety of events at the Iowa State Fair.

FFA Horse Show

Aug. 7

     Kirstin Schaefer, Wyoming (Midland FFA), Reserve Champion High Point Exhibitor; Champion in Pony Western Pleasure; Champion in Pony Breeds; Champion in Showing.

Guernsey Dairy Cattle Show

Aug. 8

     Sandy Hill Guernseys, Scotch Grove, second in Winter Yearling Heifer, second in Fall Yearling Heifer (not in milk), third in Junior Best Three Females, third and fourth in Winter Heifer Calf, fourth in Spring Heifer Calf, fourth in Fall Heifer Calf, fifth in Best Three Head, fifth in Best Four Head, sixth in Spring Yearling Heifer.

Open Western Horse Show

Aug. 10

     Brian McQuillen, Cascade, third and fourth in All-Breed Walk-Trot Pleasure, Men 19 and Over; fourth (in two separate divisions) in All-Breed Western Pleasure, Men 19 and Over.
