Moser coaches attend USTA national clinic

     Moser School of Dance & Gymnastics instructors Debbie Moser of Dyersville and Bernita Moser of Strawberry Point attended the 2019 USTA National Congress and Clinics September 27-29 in Peoria, Ill.

     Coaches and Judges from around the U.S. attended the event, consisting of technical meetings, workshops in all levels – Sub-Beginners through Elite – coach certification classes, judge courses, rule proposals and changes, state chair meetings, safety meetings, ethics meetings, awards recognitions, and the congress meeting on Sunday.

     The Moser coaches are safety-certified, USTA-certified, background-checked, safe sport-certified, Dance Educators of America tested and passed, and have been teaching area students for more than 40 years in dance and gymnastics.

     Bernita Moser is on the Ethics Board, Carmen Moser Payne of Edgewood, Kattie Payne Schulte and Luka Marie Schulte of Strawberry Point, head up the Moser competition team; Debbie Moser was the USTA President for 18 years and has been on the USTA Technical Board for 25 years, is a certified judge for more than 19 years, and has been the State of Iowa USTA Chair for six years.

     They have coached numerous national and state champions in dance and gymnastics, their students have performed in six overseas performance tours, performed at the 100th anniversary celebration of  the Indy 500, and perform in various dance and gymnastics recitals and shows throughout each year.

     The Moser coaches were also named National Coaches of the Year in  2008 and Iowa Coaches of the Year in 2009.

     Moser studio locations are in Monticello, Manchester, Dyersville, Independence, Strawberry Point, Elkader, Clermont, Guttenberg and Edgewood, teaching boys and girls ages 3 thru adult in tap, jazz/hip-hop, ballet and gymnastics.
