FFA WEEK

     Officers in the Maquoketa Valley FFA Chapter keep things running smoothly while leading the remaining chapter members.

     Here are profiles of the MV officers.

 

     Name: Mason Kruse.

     Year in school: Junior.

     Office held: President.

     Parents/Guardians: Mark and Rachel Kruse.

     Home town: Earlville.

     SAE project: Goat Production Entrepreneurship, Beef Production Placement.

     FFA activities: Livestock Judging, Dairy Judging, Meats Judging, Agronomy, Food Science.

     Most memorable FFA activity or accomplishment: Being a part of the state championship Veterinary Science team, and being the third-highest individual in the state.

 

     Name: Carter Kruse.

     Year in school: Sophomore.

     Office held: Vice President.

     Parents/Guardians: Tom and Sara Kruse.

     Home town: Petersburg.

     FFA activities: Dairy Judging.

     Most memorable FFA activity or accomplishment: Going up to Calmar to judge dairy.

 

     Name: Krista Ries.

     Year in school: Sophomore.

     Office held: Treasurer.

     Parents/Guardians: Dan and Janel Ries.

     Home town: Earlville.

     SAE project: Sweetcorn Project/babysitting.

     Most memorable FFA activity or accomplishment: Going to State Convention last year and taking the Greenhand Test. My favorite accomplishment in FFA would be being our chapter’s treasurer.

 

     Name: Sarah Goedken.

     Year in school: Sophomore.

     Office held: Sentinel.

     Parents/Guardians: Tim and Joan Goedken.

     Home town: Hopkinton.

     SAE project: Lango Dairy.

     FFA activities: Livestock Judging (Kirkwood), Dairy Judging, Greenhand Test.

     Most memorable FFA activity or accomplishment: Having a fun time at State Convention and receiving second in individual judging for State Dairy Judging.

 

     Name: Holli Hogan.

     Year in school: Sophomore.

     Office held: Reporter.

     Parents/Guardians: Duane and Christy Hogan.

     Home town: Delhi.

     SAE project: Kunde Jersey Farm.

     FFA activities: Dairy judging, World Dairy Expo, State Convention, Ag Luncheon.

     Most memorable FFA activity or accomplishment: State Convention 2018.

 

     Name: Tara Goedken.

     Year in school: Sophomore.

     Office held: Reporter.

     Parents/Guardians: Tim and Joan Goedken.

     Home town: Hopkinton.

     SAE project: Family Dairy Farm.

     FFA activities: Dairy Judging, Livestock Judging, Greenhand Test, World Dairy Expo, State Convention.

     Most memorable FFA activity or accomplishment: State Convention, or getting third overall as a team at State Dairy Judging Contest.
