Naig is best candidate for Secretary of Ag

To the Editor,

     If you want an Iowa Secretary of Agriculture with dirt under his fingernails… Mike Naig is that and so much more. But it’s Mike’s experience earned as the deputy secretary under Bill Northey for almost five years that will lead Iowa agriculture into the future. The best candidate for Secretary of Agriculture is someone that knows Iowa agriculture, has the experience, and can get the job done. I believe that Mike Naig has shown he has the experience and skills we need to move Iowa agriculture forward.

     Since being appointed as Secretary of Agriculture in March of 2018, Secretary Mike has already met with Iowans in all 99 counties. Mike has truly shown that he cares and wants to improve the lives of those working in agriculture in Iowa. He grew up on a family, century farm in Cylinder, Iowa, and has been invested in agriculture his whole life. All Iowans, rural or urban, can get behind better water quality. Naig has been in the trenches for five years fighting for more resources to improve Iowa’s soil and water health and will continue to advocate for Iowa agriculture every day. He is a great spokesman for Iowa agriculture in Iowa, across the U.S.A. and internationally and will continue to work hard for our state.

     On Election Day I have my mind set on voting Mike Naig for Secretary of Agriculture. Experience matters.
