     Nancy Marsh, age 76, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at the Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa following a brief illness. 

     A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Calamus. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. Pastor Dave Raemisch will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello has been entrusted with Nancy’s services and care.

     Surviving are two daughters, Cindy Marsh of Clinton, Lisa Ross of Davenport; two grandchildren, Tasha Ross, Melissa (Josh) Wiley; three great-grandsons, Michael, RJ and EJ; a sister, Suzanne (Dennis) Joslyn, Monticello; a brother, Gary (Linda) Mardorf, Henderson, Nev. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 2010, a daughter, Dee Ann Marsh, in 1982.

     Nancy Lee Mardorf was born May 25, 1941, at the John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Wilhelm and Kathryn Wilson Mardorf. Nancy was a member of the last graduating class from the Buck Creek High School in 1958. She worked at Cuckler Buildings in Monticello.

     Nancy Lee Mardorf and Robert “Bob” Marsh married on July 9, 1961, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Monticello. The couple lived in Monticello and Cedar Rapids before moving to Calamus. Nancy was employed by Samuels Jewelers in Davenport for many years. The couple retired in 1989 and started traveling in their RV. They eventually settled in Corpus Christi, Texas. In the fall of 2011 Nancy returned to Iowa to make her home in Monticello.

     Nancy was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Monticello, where she was baptized and confirmed. She also belonged to 94 Club in Monticello and the Widows Club in DeWitt. She enjoyed counted cross-stitch, sewing circle at church, movies and the Golden State Warriors. But, her favorite thing was to be able to GO, GO, GO.
