New scholarship for youth leaders in Jones County

   The Jones County Community Foundation is excited to announce the Jones County Young Leader Scholarship, a $2,000 award for a Jones County resident graduating in 2025 to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited institution, including trade schools. 

   “The Community Foundation works to improve quality of life for all residents of Jones County,” says Doug Edel, the Foundation’s executive director. “The scholarship recognizes student leaders that have demonstrated a commitment to improving their community and intend to continue that service in Jones County in the future.”

   To apply, students must be a resident of Jones County and be on track to graduate in 2025 from a Jones County High School (Monticello, Anamosa, Cascade or Midland) or be home schooled in Jones County.
