Nominations sought for parade grand marshals

     The Monticello Fourth of July Parade Committee is excited to announce the theme of the 2024 parade: “Celebrating Old Glory.”

   The parade will take place on Thursday, July 4, this year.

   This year, the committee is seeking the public’s help in nominating the grand marshal(s) of the parade.

   From now through March 11, you can submit your nominations.

   Who do you know in the Monticello community who embodies the patriotism represented by Old Glory (the American Flag)? Do you know someone who has served our country or community by volunteering and serving others? Someone who has contributed to, and made a positive impact on the community?

   You can nominate an individual, a couple, or a group of people.

   There are two ways to submit your nominations:

   • By providing the necessary information below and dropping it off or emailing it to the Monticello Area Chamber of Commerce

   • By visiting the chamber’s Facebook page and following a link to the online form

   When nominating someone for grand marshal, please be sure to provide the following:

   • The name(s) of the nominee

   • The contact information for the nominee(s)

   • Tell about your nominee; why you think they should be the 2024 Monticello Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal(s)

   • Your name and contact information

   You have until March 11 to submit your nominations.
