Non-profits raise more than $10,000 on Great Give Day

     The Jones County Community Foundation (JCCF), an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, is excited to announce that Jones County non-profits raised $10,170.04 on this year’s Great Give Day, May 14.

     The following non-profits participated:

     • Amber Community Club

     • Anamosa Library Endowment Fund

     • Camp Courageous

     • Cascade FFA Alumni and Supporters

     • Jones County Community Foundation

     • Jones County Historical Society

     • Jones County Safe and Healthy Youth Coalition

     • Jones Regional Medical Center Foundation

     • Jones Soil & Water Conservation District

     “In any year, we make strengthening non-profits a priority, and this year, the COVID-19 crisis has made supporting our local organizations all the more important,” said Pete Supple, economic opportunity coordinator for the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque. “We are so grateful to everyone who contributed in this time of need. Every gift makes a difference.”

     This year, 161 non-profits from Dubuque, Allamakee, Clinton, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson and Jones counties participated in Great Give Day. Since 2014, Great Give Day has raised $2,086,897 for local non-profits.

     Throughout the day, participating organization competed for $28,250 in bonus prizes. Gifts received during “Money Match” hours during the day were also matched proportionally by a total prize pool of $20,000.                                                               

     The JCCF and the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque thank the many generous sponsors, donors, and participating non-profits that made Great Give Day 2020 a success.
