Nov. 7 election: who’s running and where to vote

Over the last few weeks, the Monticello Express has published Q&As with the four candidates running for Monticello School Board and the 11 candidates running for City of Monticello elected offices.
This is your reminder, as voters, that the City/School Elections will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. All city and rural residents of Monticello will report to the Berndes Center to vote on Election Day.
In Monticello, again, there are four candidates running for two school board seats:
• Darin Siebels
• Amanda Brenneman
• Tony Amsler
• John Schlarmann
For mayor of Monticello, Wayne Peach is running unopposed.
All six Monticello City Council seats are up for election, due to a special election in March that called for all council seats to be at-large, abolishing wards throughout the city.
There are 10 candidates running for six council seats:
• Tom Yeoman
• Chris Lux
• Mary Phelan
• Steve Hanken
• Brenda Hanken
• Candy Langerman
• Dave Goedken
• Jacob Ellwood
• Scott Brighton
• Josh Brenneman
