John Null is announcing his candidacy for Jones County Supervisor. He is a life-long citizen of Jones County and knows the value of living in rural Iowa.

Null and his wife, Nanci, have been married for 36 years. They have two sons, Josh and Joel, a daughter-in-law Jennie and granddaughters Josie and Lucy, all who have chosen to make their homes in Jones County.

Null has been a local businessman for 35 years. His entrepreneurial skills, along with communication and customer service abilities have been the key to his success.

“People’s opinions do count and I believe voices matter,” said Null. “Being able to understand the principles of smart spending and fiscal responsibility are traits necessary to ensure the continued success of our county.”

Null believes property tax should represent a value on roads, education and county growth, and not be considered as a drain on people’s livelihood.

His experiences in volunteering include: church youth board director, church council board of directors, board of directors for Monticello Senior Housing Association. Null is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #4466.

“If you want another politician, then I am not your candidate,” he said. “If you are looking for a new approach in leadership through the use of diplomacy, respect, and common sense, then I would be honored to earn your vote at the Primary on June 5.”
