OWLs to go on haunted history tour

Join the Dubuque, Jackson and Jones County Naturalists at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25 for an OWLs trip through Jackson, Jones and Dubuque counties to visit locations with a haunting history.

The trip will include poor farms, abandoned insane asylums, haunted hotels, and more. We will discover both the incredible history and intriguing stories of the paranormal behind these buildings. The day will finish up with dinner and a presentation by a local investigative group, Odyssey Paranormal Society. Cost is $18 per person (includes dinner, but please pack a lunch). Carpooling is available from each county’s Nature Center. Call 563-556-6745 to register by Monday, October 22nd.

OWLS (Older Wiser Livelier) is an adult learning series partnering Dubuque, Jackson, and Jones County Conservation Boards. OWLS programs are for adults looking to get out of the house, learn something new, and have some fun!
