GIRLS SOCCER

     Monticello wrapped up its 2017 high school girls soccer season with an awards gathering Sunday, June 11 at Berean Bible Church in Monticello.

     Head coach Bruce Feuling presented the awards, which were voted upon by team members. They were as follows:

     • Most Valuable Player – Cassie Gillmore, junior.

     • Most Improved Player – Evee Krouse, freshman.

     • Best Offensive Player – McKenna Bell, sophomore.

     • Best Defensive Player – Brianna Koppes, senior.

     • Best First-year Player – Sophia Ahlrichs, sophomore.

     The Panthers picked up two victories this season after posting just one the previous year, going 2-11 overall. Included were a 4-3 win at Northeast of Goose Lake April 29, and 3-1 home triumph over West Delaware May 15.
