Panther JV makes early lead stand

GIRLS BASKETBALL

     Monticello made a first half lead stand on the way to a 38-24 junior varsity girls basketball victory at North Cedar Jan. 15.

     The Panthers led 24-14 at halftime.

     “In the first half we ran a very good set offense, getting many good looks,” Monticello coach Chuck Welsch said.

     Bronwyn Hodge led the Panthers (14-0, 15-0) in scoring with 14 points, and grabbed five rebounds. Rebekah Prull had eight points and four rebounds. DeLainy Fellinger had six points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Lydia Recker had four each of points, rebounds, assists and steals. Emma Hynick scored four points, and Kylee Van Dorn added two.
