     Sport: Football.

     Awards received: Two varsity letters, Academic All-District.

     Season goals: Have fun, play football.

     I like this sport because: As our (assistant) coach Jon Kyte says, it’s the ultimate team sport. I like being on a team and working together with everyone.

     What is something the average person doesn’t know about your sport? It is a lot more work than it seems. It takes a lot of energy and concentration every day of the week.

     Biggest sports thrill as a participant: Breaking through the line and getting a tackle in the backfield to push the other team’s offense back.

     Rituals/superstitions: Stretching out with the team and trying to relax while waiting for the game to start.

     Biggest academic accomplishments: Being accepted into the National Honor Society in May.  

     Biggest influence: My dad; he’s supported me since day one and always believes I can do great things.

     Favorite male athlete: Isaac Holtz.

     Favorite female athlete: Sandra Perkovic.

     Favorite pro team: Packers.

     Favorite college team: Iowa State Cyclones.

     Favorite subject in school: History.

     Favorite teacher: Mrs. Steger.

     Jobs/other activities: Helping out on the farm, assistant teaching religious education at St. Luke’s.

     College/future plans: I plan to go to a flight school to become a commercial pilot.
