I like this sport because: It’s a fun sport that I’ve always enjoyed doing with my friends, and the coaches have taught me so much on how much effort this sport takes!

What is something the average person doesn’t know about your sport? The amount of effort you have to put in, and to be committed and never quit on yourself, otherwise you won’t reach your goals.

Biggest sports thrill as a participant: Running at the state meet and seeing all the people at Drake Stadium really helped me get to State (again).

Pre-competition rituals/superstitions: I always warm up and stretch before every race, and chew gum to help with side stitches.

Biggest academic accomplishment: Being on Honor Roll every semester of high school.
