Panther team reaps awards during UDA camp

The Monticello High School dance team attended the Universal Dance Association (UDA) Dance Camp July 6-9 in Ames. 

 

The team, coached by Amanda Hackney, received numerous awards at the camp. Those are listed below. 

 

• Twenty-six Drill Down ribbons. Ally Bartachek was Drill Down Queen runner-up. 

 

• Five UDA All-Americans: Anisa Krouse, Emma Brighton, Sydney Freese, Kaitlin Guyer and Bartachek. 

 

• Anisa Krouse, Pin It Forward Award. 

 

• Nineteen Superior ribbons. 

 

• Two Excellent ribbons. 

 

• Squad Credential Award. 

 

• Invitation to the Varsity Spirit Spectacular. 

 

• Third place and Superior Award in Home Routine. 

 

• Qualified for UDA Nationals in Orlando, Fla., and to perform in the Citrus Bowl. 

 

• Earned the 110 Percent Award, voted upon by UDA staff. 

 

• Super Spirit Stick Award.
