Panthers close out season with awards
A season in which the Monticello High School girls soccer team enjoyed improvement and growth was celebrated during the team’s annual awards event June 2 at Berean Bible Church in Monticello.
The Panthers went 2-10 this season, but head coach Bruce Feuling praised the team for its efforts.
“It’s a really good bunch of girls, and I’m really proud of them,” Feuling said.
Duff Coleman, who took over the team for a time when Feuling was ill, wrote a letter congratulating the team for its season.
“We saw huge improvement in the quality of play as the season went along,” Coleman wrote.
