The young Monticello High School softball team may have hoped for a few more wins during this shortened 2020 season, but still had plenty to celebrate during its annual awards event Sunday, Aug. 9 at Legacy Lanes.

The Panthers, with no seniors on the varsity roster, went 2-11 during the season, but wound up with three All-River Valley Conference players. Monticello also had 11 players earn Academic All-Conference honors.

A list of awards, presented by head coach Bret McDonald, assistant and JV coach Kim McQuileen, and freshman-sophomore coach Andrea Janssen, follows.
