Panthers earn high marks at State Solos

     Six members of the Monticello High School dance team competed at the Iowa State Dance Team Association (ISDTA) Solo Competition Saturday, Nov. 4 in Newton.

     Each of the Panthers received Division I ratings. Placing in Class III Solo competition were: Madisan Birt, third place; Anisa Krouse, fifth; Emma Brighton, ninth; Melissa Davis, 10th; Kate Tuetken, 11th, and Ally Bartachek, 21st. There were 75 soloists in Class III.

     “I’m just very proud of our six soloists,” Monticello coach Amanda Hackney said. “It was a very tough competition, and so neat to see all of our six Panther dancers finish in the top 25.”
