     Monticello scored a 20-stroke victory in its only girls golf meet of last week, beating Camanche 209 to 229 Monday, April 17 at the Monticello Golf Club.

     “Overall I was pleased with the results,” Monticello coach Joe Steen said. “I saw a lot of positive things for us to work on as well some improvements we need to make.”

     Lauren Ries was meet medalist by eight strokes, shooting a 44. Lilly Lambert finished in second place with a 52. Courtney Campbell shot a 56, Marissa McNally carded a 57, Lydia Franzenburg had a 58, and Olivia Goodyear scored 70.

     “Lilly Lambert earned her first career medal as runner up medalist,” Steen said. “We will build off of this performance.”
