Panthers pick up ninth and 10th wins at Bellevue quad

     Monticello lifted its dual meet record to 10-3 by winning two out of three duals during a quadrangular meet Thursday, Jan. 16 at Bellevue.

     The Panthers defeated Bellevue 64-16 and Wilton 45-34 before falling to Tipton 42-39.

     Four Panthers went 3-0 for the night. Kale Hansen, at 106 pounds, pinned all three of his opponents. Kain Luensman, at 138, had two pins and a technical fall. Mark Sunlin, at 113, had two pins and a forfeit win. At 120, Owen Ray won by pin, decision and forfeit.

     Going 2-1 with two pins apiece were Ethan Tallman at 126/132 and Ty Jesenovec at 132/138. Chandler Weber, at 170, was 2-1 with wins by technical fall and decision, the latter in overtime.

     Others picking up wins by fall were Bo Kramer, Miles Hatchel, Ian Taylor, Mason Reuter.
