Patricia Ann Kaiser Jan. 25, 1937–May 1, 2025

Patricia Ann Kaiser, 88, died Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Amber Rose Memory Care, Robinson, Ill.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello with interment in Wayne Zion Cemetery. Pastor Phil Jorgensen will officiate at the services. Friends may call after 10 a.m. at the church. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello has taken Pat and her family into their care.
Patricia Ann Folkers was born Jan. 25, 1937, on a farm in Wayne Township, Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of Edward Folkers and Etta (Lurkens) Folkers, and the younger sister of Donna. She attended Bunker Hill country school and graduated from Anamosa Community Schools in 1955. Pat worked at WMT broadcasting in Cedar Rapids prior to earning a teaching degree from Parsons College in Fairfield. After graduation, she moved to Cedar Rapids and taught fourth grade at College Community Schools in Fairfax.
Patricia married Donald Kaiser of Scranton, Penn. on June 1, 1958, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello. In their first year of marriage, the couple lived in Sharon, Penn. where she taught fifth grade while Dr. Kaiser worked as a chiropractor. In 1959, they returned to Monticello where Patricia again worked as an elementary teacher and Don established his chiropractic practice. Patricia paused her teaching for about 20 years beginning in 1963 to stay home with their three children. While raising children, she also managed a direct sales team for the Figurette company, taught dance lessons and had leadership roles in the League of Women Voters. Patricia returned to teaching in the Sacred Heart and Monticello School systems from 1988-2003.
Patricia was also involved in BPW and an active member of the Monticello Golf Club. She enjoyed traveling, reading, visiting friends and family, and playing bridge and golf.
Pat is survived by three children: daughter, Deann (Don) Greif of Chico, Calif. (grandsons, Ryan (Lisa) Greif and Marcus (Desiree) Greif; granddaughter, Lainie Greif (Jose Barajas); great-grandsons, Ryder Greif, Donovan Greif, and Owen Greif; and great-granddaughters, Alexa Greif, Eliana Greif, Norah Greif, Cecilia Greif, and Maya Barajas); son, Daren (Debra) Kaiser of Murfreesboro, Tenn. (granddaughters, Reagan (Jon) Wulfekotter and Ryleigh (Jonathan) Pabon; grandson, Braden Kaiser; great-grandson, Lucas Wulfekotter; and great-granddaughter, Remi Pabon); daughter, Sonya (Bret) Dirks of Robinson, Ill. (granddaughter, Kelsey (Bryant) Scott; grandsons Devan (Mychal) Dirks and Dylan Dirks; great-grandsons, Hudson Scott and Holten Scott; and great-granddaughter, Harlynn Scott).
She was preceded in death by her mother, Etta (Lurkens) Folkers-Harms (deceased 1980); her father, Edward Folkers (deceased 1950); her stepfather, Herman Harms (deceased 1969); her brother, Edward Folkers Jr. (deceased 1935); her sister, Donna (Folkers) Goldfein (deceased 2018); and her husband, Donald “Doc” Kaiser (deceased 1999).
