Surviving is his wife of 33 years, Sue; son Dane (Shannon) Clark, Anamosa; daughter Hailey (James) Hatrick, Monticello; three grandchildren, Bennett, McCoy and Finley whom he shared a special bond and numerous cousins.

Paul Allen Clark was born Feb. 7, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was the son of Paul and Violet Clark who preceded him in death. Paul graduated from Kennedy High School in 1970. He became a technical diver and did underwater welding and bridge repair in Florida and later started a tropical fish business in Florida. He married Susan Johnson on Oct. 15, 1983 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Paul was employed at Rockwell Collins for 33 years, retiring in 2012. Since his retirement he has worked for his son Dane’s business, DC Concrete, which he was extremely proud to be a part of.

Paul loved God so much and was at peace knowing he was going to be wrapped in His Loving Arms. Paul loved life and cherished people. He always put everyone before himself and had a genuine interest in everyone he met. He had such a big smile and an even bigger heart! Friends and family liked to call him “Peace Man Paulie,” “Positive Paulie,” or “P Man!” When he would say something witty or wise he would tell you it came from the “Book of Paul!”

The family wishes to thank all of their loved ones for their support, love and prayers during Paul’s short but hard fought battle with lung cancer. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.

     In Paul’s words: God Bless!
