July 21
• 9:33 a.m. -- Police responded to the 100 block of Cedar Street for a report of an animal at large.
• 3:35 p.m. -- Police responded to the 600 block of North Gill Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle or person.
July 22
• 12:12 p.m. -- Police responded to the 800 block of East Oak Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle or person.
• 5:21 p.m. -- Police responded to the 200 block of East South Street to a motor vehicle crash with no injuries.
July 24
• 9:49 p.m. -- Police responded to Park Boulevard for a report of an assault. The incident is under investigation.
July 25
• 8:42 a.m. -- Police responded to the 200 block of East South Street for a report of a suspicious person or vehicle.
• 3:54 p.m. -- Police responded to the corner of Cedar and First streets for a report of a theft.
• 11:10 p.m. -- Police responded to the 200 block of South Cedar Street for a weapons or firearm complaint.
July 26
• 8:23 p.m. Police responded to the intersection of Fifth and Chestnut for a report of a suspicious vehicle or person.
July 27
• 2:05 p.m. Police responded to the 600 block of South Walnut Street for a report of a sex offense. Monticello Chief of Police Britt Smith said the incident remains under investigation.
