PREVIEW: Eagles bring experience

     Team: Midland cross country.

     Conference/division: Tri-Rivers, East Division.

     Head coach: Jon Eganhouse (sixth year).

     Roster: Six boys, one girl.

     Returning letter-winners: Trenton Rickels, Bryce Rushford, Milo Smith, Jay Bentley and Tristan Kunde.

     Potential strengths: Experience, with two four-year runners, one three-year runners and two second-year runners for the boys.

     Potential concerns: Numbers, depth.

     Toughest opponents: Maquoketa Valley.

     Coach’s comment: “We’d like to finish in the upper half of the (Tri-Rivers) Conference for the boys, and for our lone girl runner, Kaitlyn Kunde, just to become more experienced throughout the year.
