CROSS COUNTRY

Midland has just three runners on its boys’ cross country team this fall, but head coach Jon Eganhouse said he is excited to work with them this season.

“I am looking forward to coaching this group of young men this year,” Eganhouse said. “There is a lot of room to grow, but they are a hard-working, fun group.”

Included are juniors Ryan Wariner and Jacob Ervin, and freshman Owen Doll.

“Ryan comes to us from the state of Nevada, where he did have some cross country experience,” Eganhouse said.

“I consider Jacob to be the newcomer to the team. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in toughness.

“Owen is the veteran of the group for us. He has been running since seventh grade and brings a lot of potential.”
