Primary Election candidates announced
Jones County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Janine Sulzner has released the official list of candidates voters can expect to see on the Tuesday, June 5 Primary Election ballot.
Congressional Candidates
Incumbent Rod Blum, Dubuque, is the only Republican candidate running for U.S. Representative in the First District.
Democratic candidates include: Abby Finkenauer, Dubuque; Thomas Heckroth, Cedar Falls; George Ramsey, Cedar Rapids; and Courtney L. Rowe, Cedar Rapids.
State Candidates-Governor
Current Governor Kim Reynolds, Des Moines, is the only candidate on the Republican ticket.
Democratic candidates include: Nate Boulton, Des Moines; Cathy Glasson, Coralville; Fred Hubbell, Des Moines; Andrea Andy McGuire, Des Moines; John Norris, Des Moines; and Ross Wilburn, Ames. Libertarian candidates include: Marco Battaglia, Des Moines; and Jake Porter, Council Bluffs.
State Candidates-Secretary of State
Current Iowa Secretary of State Paul D. Pate, Des Moines, is the only candidate on the Republican ticket.
Democratic candidates include: Deidre DeJear, Des Moines; and Jim Mowrer, Des Moines.
State Candidates-Auditor of State
Current State Auditor Mary Mosiman, Ames, is the only candidate on the Republican ticket.
The Democratic candidate is Rob Sand, Des Moines.
State Candidates-Treasurer of State
Current State Treasurer Michael L. Fitzgerald, Waukee, is the only candidate on the Democratic ticket.
State Candidates-Secretary of Agriculture
Republican candidates include: Ray Gaesser, Corning; Chad Ingels, Randalia; Craig Lang, Brooklyn; Mike Naig, Des Moines; and Dan Zumbach, Ryan.
The Democratic candidate is Tim Gannon, Des Moines.
State Candidates-Attorney General
Current Attorney General Tom Miller, Des Moines, is the only candidate on the Democratic ticket.

Incumbent Tod R. Bowman, Maquoketa, is the only Democratic candidate running for District 29.
Carrie Koelker, Dyersville, is the only one running on the Republican ticket.
State Candidates-Representative Dist. 58
Incumbent Andy McKean, Anamosa, is the only Republican candidate running for District. 58.
Joe Oclon, Bellevue, is the only one running on the Democratic ticket.

Incumbent Lee Hein, Monticello, is the only Republican candidate running for District 96.
Reenie Montgomery, Manchester, is the only candidate on the Democratic ticket.
Jones Co. Candidates-Supervisor Dist. 3
Those running on the Republican ticket for District 3 are incumbent Jon C. Zirkelbach, Center Junction, and John E. Null, Scotch Grove.
Jones Co. Candidates-Supervisor Dist. 4
Incumbent Ned Rohwedder, Olin, is the only Republican candidate running for District 4.

Current Recorder Sheri L. Jones, Anamosa, is the only Republican candidate running for Recorder.
Jones Co. Candidates-County Treasurer
Current Treasurer Amy L. Picray, Monticello, is the only Republican candidate running for Treasurer.
Jones Co. Candidates-County Attorney
No candidates from any party have filed papers to run in the Primary for County Attorney. Current County Attorney Phil Parsons is not seeking re-election.
