Pro-abortionists lack respect for life

To the Editor,

     It is unfortunate that every person who is against abortion and votes Republican is accused of being a one-issue voter. We are not that small-minded.

     Think about how abortion has devolved over the years. It’s no longer enough to be able to terminate an early pregnancy, now the pro-abortion activists want late-term abortions, and if the baby is born alive, they want the right to let it lay there until it dies. Oh, but they will “make it comfortable” until that happens. There is nothing “comfortable” for a dying baby.

     What is next? The right to decide to terminate a baby’s life after it has been outside the womb for a month and it cries too much? Does that sound outrageous to you?

     Years ago, late-term abortion or partial-birth abortion likely sounded outrageous to most people, but here they are fighting for that right today.

     What I see is the lack of respect for life manifesting at all stages, and until we come together to turn that around, it will only get worse.
