Public invited to tour new middle school

     The public is invited to tour Monticello’s new middle school.

     There will be several opportunities for the community to see inside the middle school before the school year begins:

     • Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 5 p.m. – for Monticello Middle School students and families

     • Thursday, Aug. 20, at 5 p.m. – for Shannon and Carpenter Elementary students and families

     • Thursday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. – for Monticello High School students and families

     • Friday, Aug. 21, at 5 p.m. – for all other community members and the general public

     There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new middle school at 4 p.m. on Aug. 21.

     In addition to touring the middle school, you can also check out the new high school entrance and district office.

     Families of Monticello students include siblings, parents, grandparents, grandkids, etc.

     These will not be guided tours; come and explore on your own. Staff will be available to answer your questions.

     Facemasks are not required, but strongly recommended. Please remember to social distance.
