Students at Carpenter and Shannon elementary schools took part in Read Across America Week last week in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. They dressed up for themed days, read Dr. Seuss books, and decorated potatoes as their favorite book character. Shannon students also traveled to Carpenter School to read with the older kids. March 7 was “Dress Like Thing 1 or Thing 2 or Dress Like Your Friend” day. These Carpenter students all dressed as twins. Seated in front are Meghan Besler and Brynn Schmit.
