Red Cedar Chamber returns to United Church

Red Cedar Chamber Music presents “Cultural Passport,” duos for violin and cello inspired by folk music from around the world on Friday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. at the United Church of Monticello.
Featured musicians are Miera Kim on violin and Carey Bostian on cello.
This is their third concert program of commissioned works inspired by folk music from around the world. The songs will take you to Finland, Korea, Vietnam, Mexico, and Iran. They will be performing world premieres of works by Kari Juusela, Jan Ahn, Dylan Tran, J. Andres Ballesteros, and Kian Ravvaei, as well as other folk-inspired favorites. Sit back and enjoy stories and music that transport you to other times and places.
The United Church of Monticello is located at 123 N. Chestnut St.
There will be a free-will donation taken during the event.
