Roger and Doris Childs - San Mateo, Calif.

      Doris Hayen Childs passed away Nov. 17, 2020 at 85 years of age. She was born March 16, 1935 to Henry and Berniece Hanken Hayen. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1953. She then attended Allen School of Nursing. She was united in marriage to Roger Childs on Dec. 22, 1956.

      She is survived by four children, Carol, Diane, Dean, Mark and David and five grandchildren, a sister Phyllis Landis and a brother Dean (Barb) Hayen. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Ron Landis.

      Roger Childs passed away Aug. 19, 2020 at 89 years of age. He was born Dec. 18, 1930 to Ralph and Katherine Childs of Manchester. He was the sixth of seven children. He attended Manchester High School and then attended Western Military Academy in Alton, Ill., graduating in 1949. He was united in marriage to Doris Hayen on Dec. 22, 1956.

      He was preceded in death by four brother and two sisters. He is survived by four children, Carol, Diane, Dean, Mark and David, and five grandchildren.
