Roots

Letter to the Editor

To the Editor,

To those of you who are planning to vote in the Republican Primary on June 7, I ask that you remember your roots because it matters.

To be a good supervisor at the county level, you need to know your people and what their needs are to make the county run well. Plus, you need to be mindful that the county needs to run at a level that the taxpayers can afford because it is your tax dollars at stake.

Jon Zirkelbach has very deep roots in this county. As this man grew up in central Jones County, he did chores on the farm with his father for little to no pay, but he learned first-hand how to handle the money and resources that they had available. Many of you who have roots in Jones County have similar stories.

Jon has taken his experiences of growing up on the farm and managing it later in life and transferred those skills to be an excellent Jones County Supervisor. On a personal level, he needs and wants this county to do well because this is where his roots are and will remain. I would encourage you to keep him in the courthouse. There is hard work to do and Jon is not afraid to do it. Re-elect Jon Zirkelbach for Jones County Supervisor on June 7.
