Rotary ‘car drop’ helps raise money for local projects

The Monticello Rotary Club is selling raffle tickets for a “Car Drop” event to help raise money for the club’s scholarship fund and the Monticello Fountain Project. 

A gutted car will be placed on the ice at Monticello Jellystone Park. There will be a clock set up in the car to stop when the car falls through the ice into the lake. When the car is retrieved and the time recorded, a winner will be determined. 

Tickets are $10 each. Your time noted on the ticket is good for a.m. and p.m. time slots. Times are given at random when you purchase the ticket. 

The winner of the correct time noted on the ticket wins $1,000. 

All Seasons Auto Body and Koob Wrecker & Crane Service in Monticello are assisting the Rotary Club with the event. 

Tickets can be purchased at the following locations: Hillside Sports Bar & Grill, Glass Tap, Citizens State Bank, DuTrac Community Credit Union, F&M Bank, Hartig Drug, Ohnward Bank & Trust, and The Jitney.
