Sacred Heart Gala set for Nov. 16

Final plans are coming together for the annual Sacred Heart School Holiday Gala. The event takes place this Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Monticello Berndes Center. The theme this year is “Holly Jolly Christmas.” 

The evening will begin with a social hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy appetizers and beverages while browsing the silent auction and live auction items. The Gala’s seated dinner begins at 6:30, and is prepared by J&D Catering. 

The highlight of the event is the auction. The silent and live auction will have many unique items. This is a perfect opportunity to start your holiday shopping – there truly is something for everyone! Auction items include a Branson, Mo. getaway, an oak TV cabinet, dinner with the Archbishop, Traeger grill, many great group dinners, a backyard party with food and live music, and items created by each classroom. 

This is Sacred Heart School’s major fundraiser and its success plays a major role in continuing the tradition of Catholic education in the community for almost 100 years. Proceeds from the Gala are used for tuition assistance, technology updates, classroom supplies, and other operating needs. Last year, Gala donations contributed funds for new secure entrances at both the preschool and K-6 building entrances. This includes programmable door schedules, door entrance buzzers, and proximity key fobs. The school and Booster Club continue to work together to raise funds to complete additional doors and further improve the main entryway while maintaining building security. Your generosity allows Sacred Heart School to continue their tradition of providing students with a Christ-centered education, focused on rigorous academics, service to others, and faith-driven leadership.
